The AAL4All project is progressing well and the consortium presents relevant news to interested stakeholders on a regular basis on this page
The A4A field trial has started successfully
At the beginning of May 2023, the first homes were equipped with the A4A solution in Denmark and Switzerland. The roll-out process has been smooth. More and more participants from Romania have also joined the field trial.
For each home, the country-specific end-user organisation preconfigured the devices through the Anyware application to a complete set for installation. Hence, the time of installation could be reduced to a minimum.
In June, the Portuguese ethical approval was given by the national ethical committee. Therefore, participants in Portugal can now start their field trial too. At the time of installation, participants are informed about the A4A solution and our project. Furthermore, they are asked to share first impressions about the A4A solution.
As from now, we start evaluating the feedback and install the remaining devices at participants’ homes.
Internal pre-tests by end-user organisations
Currently, the technical partners Anyware, Exthex and Hochschule Luzern are shipping the first devices to end-user partners for pre-tests on laboratory sites.
In January and February, the technical partners performed their specific tests on the parts of the product themselves in order to avoid potential technical problems with the components.
First pre-tests at end-user organisations show that the plug and play of the devices works well and the use of the Anyware application is handy. End-user organisations are currently performing tests to guarantee a full functionality of the A4A solution.
Through co-creation activities to our A4A product
Thanks to the inputs provided by the end-user organisations Caritas Coimbra, Ana Aslan, Blaeksprutten and bonacasa, the technical partners were able to start developing the AAL4All product.
Advisory boards have been set up to gain inputs from all relevant stakeholders in the different countries. Currently, the final steps of a first iteration of product development are being taken.
To increase technical stability and robustness of the AAL4All product, the demo phase has been prolonged by 2 months until the end of April 2023.
The field trial will be launched in May 2023.
